Prints and Drawings
The "Virtuelles Kupferstichkabinett" is the joint online research database for prints and drawings of the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum in Braunschweig and the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel. Substantial parts of the graphic collections of both institutions are being brought together in this online database. The roots of these collections go back to the collections of prints and drawings of the Dukes of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel. The historical coherence of these collections was lost in the course of the eighteenth and early twentieth centuries when objects were dispersed between the two institutions.
